Livelihood Recovery Project (LRP) which was supported by OXFAM had planned to strengthen local cooperative for sustainability of project. So it had supported in stock piling & agriculture tools, The agriculture tools will reduce work load of women. The farmers will pay nominal amount to cooperative after using agriculture tools for its maintenance. Similarly, it had mobilized a Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) in each of the former three VDCs to support farmers for sustainable farming practices. The farmers, mostly women had received cooperative training including Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Nursery management & Livestock management training which will support them in farming. Demonstration plot have been demonstrated in each VDC for organic farming.
Women Empowerment against Human Trafficking & Slavery project has planned to form & function Community Vigilance Committee in VDCs & develop capacity of them to become matured. When they are mature, they will be linked with different local legal structure like forest product consumer group, agriculture cooperative group etc.
Women Leadership Program(WLP) has planned to form & operate Community Discussion Centre(CDC) in VDCs which have own saving & credit fund. So at the end they will be converted in cooperative or agriculture group with registration in respective governmental department. Promotion of Safe Migration in Makwanpur District Project has also formed social structures like Community Discussion Centre, Cooperatives, Farmers Groups which are doing regular meetings to discuss different issues like safe migration, anti-human trafficking, saving and credit as well as different practices of fair trade of agricultural products and sustainable agricultural practices with mitigations and adaptation measures of climate change. These social structures are owned by community and project participants as well as coordinating with local level ward and municipal governments for the continuation and sustainability of project support even after the exit of project.
